Art Trail

I'm part of the South Hams Art Trail this week and have had some lovely visitors already :O)  Some are interested in my quilt making, some are knitters - some are both!  Everyone has been amazed and surprised to find my little Aladdin's Crafting Cave tucked away down here - hehe
If you are a craft maker of any kind - do check out your local Open Studios events and join in - I can thoroughly recommend it.  You get to meet some really lovely people who are genuinely interested in your work.

Stop press!!

Oooohh ....... The first batch of the new Rowan yarn arrived yesterday! Kid Silk Haze *Glamour*
Its delicious.  All the softness and warmth of the Kid silk Haze plus added sparkle from teeny tiny clear sequins threaded throughout the yarn.  I worked a couple of test swatches last night and its lovely.  Very light to work with, especially on bamboo needles. I can see this line is going to be a BIG hit.  I've got plans for a little jacket design already ....... :O)

Monday 1 October 2012

I started knitting in my teens, when my sister in law showed me how to cable. And now I have re-discovered the enjoyment all over again!

So many delicious yarns around now
- I love the  colours and textures
– the feel which all the different kinds of fleece gives you
– the mixtures with silk, mohair, alpaca ………
Very Scrummy and Absolutely Delightful :O)
I’m having fun!!  Are you ?????
So much fun that I now stock yarns for sale - Rowan, Blacker, Natural Fibre Company, John Arbon
Come and visit my Studio!
